The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has launched a web-based online mobile phone registration system (DRS) for the regularization and registration of unregistered mobile phones in cooperation with the Federal Revenue Board (FBR). The Online Device Registration System (DRS) is specifically designed to facilitate Pakistanis overseas and all international travelers wishing to bring mobile phones.
No need to worry about your mobile phone’s blocking now. Just go to the web-based portal of PTA and easily register your phone. In this post, we will also brief you on how to register your mobile phone with just a few clicks. One thing to note is that you need to register your mobile phone within 60 days of your arrival in Pakistan to save it from blocking. Means you have to register within 60 days of your arrival date. Your mobile phone will otherwise be blocked.
The applicant’s passport number, National Identity Card (CNIC), International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI), Contact Number, Email Address and Postal Address must be submitted.
Follow the below-given step by step procedure to register your mobile phone.
No need to worry about registering your mobile phone because in this post I will brief you on how to register your mobile phone using PTA online registration system. First of all, click here to open PTA DRS web-based system. So, click the Sign-Up button for that.
You’re going to be sent to a new window. Carefully read the Important Message and select the option in the given fields, i.e. Application and type of user. You will be directed to the next window after selecting from these two options.
Enter the details you need, i.e. Your Full Name, Phone Number, Email Address, City Number, Passport Number, etc.
You will then receive a confirmation email from PTA asking you for Account Access Verification. Click on the confirmation link and then go to the screen below. Click the Update button to enter your Password there.
Now you’re going to be sent to a new login window. Enter your email address and password and click on the button Login.
You will be sent to the Declaration Screen after logging in. Now click on the top left corner of the Individual COC. Two options will be available, i.e. Apply for COC and My Apps. Click on COC Apply.
You are going to be sent to the IMEI Information window. Enter your mobile number in the area of contact number and IMEI number in the area of IMEI and click the Add IMEI button.
After that, you will receive a text message on your mobile number that you entered in the Contact Number field where you will be shown a detailed procedure in the message you would receive if the tax is payable or not. And that’s it, you’re done.
If you want to trace your application, simply click on My Applications, and it will show your application status.
